Prep Sports Now

Can Gorman, Silverado repeat?

Another season of high school football begins Friday night with a similar storyline: Gorman is the team to beat in the class 5A; Silverado in the class 4A. Can anyone dethrone the 2021 state champs? Case and Ray discuss on the maiden edition of Prep Sports Now in 2022.

The countdown is over.

High school football teams throughout Nevada open their seasons this week, meaning it’s time for another tradition: Projecting the winners. Last season, we posted a 142-31 record.

It’s important to note this column is designed to add excitement to the week and not to criticize individual players or programs.

Speaking of traditions, we’ll post our initial Prep Sports Now podcast of the season on Tuesday.

Here’s wishing everyone a safe and fun season. We’ll be there every step of the way to celebrate your accomplishments.
