A motorist was killed Wednesday night after his car veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a compact SUV, according to Metro Police.
The 24-year-old victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at an area hospital shortly after the 8 p.m. crash, police said. His name was not released.
The man was heading north on Eastern Avenue in an Audi TT when he crossed the median near Sunrise Avenue, and collided with a Toyota Rav4, police said.
The driver of the other vehicle, who also was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries, police said.
