Although some people have said that President Donald Trump’s election in 2016 proved the adage that “anyone can grow up to become president,” I must respectfully disagree. While Trump is, indeed, the president, it’s obvious by his behavior that he has never grown up.
The only thing the 2016 election of Trump clearly proved is that, under a rare set of circumstances, an unprincipled, deceitful, vulgar, cruel, vindictive and inarticulate person (who also can’t spell) can become president of the United States.
Hopefully, in the next election, we can rid ourselves of this callous buffoon rather than retain this sorrowful stain on American history.
