President Donald Trump was recently in Davos, Switzerland, and according to published reports was trying to publicly ignore the impeachment process going on here. We all know he was privately fuming, though.
How do other world leaders view the United States under Trump? His limited vocabulary, his third-grade manner of speaking and his penchant for the words “very, very” over and over again must make America look stupid for electing him.
Our allies know they can no longer count on us because Trump’s Twitter thumb might get active. His supporters say Democrats are trying to “undo” the election of a “duly” elected person. They are so wrong.
Vladimir Putin bought Trump, lock, stock and barrel, and the Electoral College handed him (by a 77,000-vote difference after millions of people voted) the election. But the majority did not elect this person.
I hope Republicans grow a spine. I realize this is a futile hope, but I choose to believe some will abide by their oaths of office and be impartial jurors in the impeachment process.
