Bally’s will reopen from the coronavirus shutdown on July 23, Caesars Entertainment announced today, noting "solid customer interest" in Las Vegas this summer.
“We have capped hotel occupancy at our other reopened Las Vegas properties and believe that opening another casino resort, rather than increasing hotel occupancy caps, better supports our enhanced focus on health and safety at this time,” Caesars CEO Tony Rodio said in a statement.
Gov. Steve Sisolak ordered casinos and other nonessential businesses statewide closed in mid-March to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. Casinos were allowed to start reopening June 4.
In reopening, Bally’s will follow the company's enhanced health and safety protocols, which include increased sanitation and cleaning, physical distancing protocols and mandatory face masks for guests and employees, the company said.
Caesars has already opened Caesars Palace, the Flamingo, Harrah’s, Paris Las Vegas and the gaming floor and other amenities at the Linq. It’s other local casinos, the Cromwell, Planet Hollywood and Rio, remain closed.
“Caesars will open its remaining Las Vegas properties in line with customer demand, regulatory requirements and any additional health and safety considerations,” the company said in a news release.
