U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Arizona this week arrested one of two suspects wanted on murder warrants out of Las Vegas following a 2016 shooting, according to Metro Police.

Victor Delgado Jr. had guns and ammo on him Wednesday as he was crossing at the Nogales, Ariz., port of entry at the Mexico border, according to the federal agency.

Delgado, 27, was awaiting extradition to Las Vegas, Metro said Friday.

Metro alleges that he and Jordan Delgado shot and killed a man during a fight outside a convenience store in the 6600 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, east of North Hollywood Boulevard.

Police arrived about 6:15 a.m. Oct. 13, 2016, to find Daniel Villanueva fatally wounded.

Metro identified the suspects in the summer of 2019, but Las Vegas Justice Court logs show that the suspects were identified as such about a week after the slaying.

Police said at the time that they were believed to have left Las Vegas after the shooting but had returned.

Records show Jordan Delgado is still wanted on one count each of murder and conspiracy to commit murder, the same counts as Victor Delgado.
