A man was killed when he was run over by his own car during a carjacking attempt, Henderson police said.
No immediate arrest was made in the incident that occurred Tuesday in a desert area near a resort, police said.
According to police, the person attempting to steal the man's car got control of the vehicle and ran the man over before abandoning the car and running away.
The victim's identity wasn't released and no description of the suspect was immediately available.
A Metro Police helicopter participated in a search for the suspect.
