A man suspected in two deadly shootings and a recent crime spree in the Las Vegas area was arrested Thursday night, according to Metro Police.

On Thursday morning, John Anthony Carrillo arrived at a house in the 1700 block of Euclid Avenue, near Oakey Boulevard and Eastern Avenue, for a drug deal, police said.

Police allege Carrillo fatally shot a man and stole a white Nissan Altima from the home. The man died at the scene from a gunshot wound, police said.

In that case, Carrillo, 29, was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on counts of murder, first-degree kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon, Las Vegas Justice Court logs show.

Carrillo is also a suspect in a slaying in Henderson late Thursday in which a man was shot in the face in the 10000 block of South Maryland Parkway, near Silverado Ranch Boulevard, Henderson Police said.

The 32-year-old victim died in a parking lot, while the shooter fled in a white Nissan Altima, Henderson police said.

A short time later, Metro officers took Carrillo into custody about 2 miles from the crime scene, Metro said.

A search of Carrillo's name through Henderson Justice Court logs online did not indicate any charges had been filed in the second shooting.

According to Metro, Carrillo had been involved in “several criminal incidents” since Saturday, including the shooting of a customer at a convenience store Wednesday in the 1400 block of East Charleston Boulevard, near Maryland Parkway.

Police didn’t provide a medical prognosis for the victim.

Police also linked Carrillo to an assault Sunday night in the 5000 block of Dean Martin Drive; a stolen vehicle Tuesday night near Charleston and 13th Street; and a robbery Wednesday night in the 1400 block of Charleston, according to Metro dispatch logs.

No additional details were released, and it was not clear if additional charges were going to be filed.
