I am livid about the story in the Feb. 26 edition, “Cost to taxpayers for Capitol riot will exceed $30 million,” about the cost of the restoration for the damages caused by the Jan. 6 mob attack.
We should not have to pay for it. It was caused by the now ex-president telling his supporters to “fight like hell.” The Republican Party and ex-President Donald Trump need to be held responsible for the cost of the restoration, psychological help for the staffers and the fencing around the area.
In other words, for all the costs related to that incident, including the costs related to prosecuting the people involved in that attack.
