Skeletal remains found near Black Mountain in Henderson in September have been identified as those of a woman reported missing on Christmas Day last year, Metro Police said.
Jawaher Hejji, 26, was reported missing by family members, who had not seen or heard from her since Dec. 22, police said.
Her vehicle was located along Shaded Canyon Drive, south of Horizon Ridge Parkway, police said. Surveillance footage from the area showed Hejji walking alone on the Armargosa Trail near the base of Black Mountain on Dec. 23, police said.
On September 6, Henderson Police responded to a report of skeletal remains located near Black Mountain, Metro said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release Hejji’s cause and manner of death, Metro said.
