“KÀ” is coming back to the Strip in November.

After months of planning and adjusting, Cirque du Soleil has announced the date for the reopening of its fifth and final Las Vegas Strip resident production. “” will return to its epic, technologically advanced stage at MGM Grand on November 24 will plans to perform Saturday through Wednesday at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Famously action-packed and intricately choreographed, ais the biggest theatrical production in Cirque’s global portfolio, punctuating why it’s the final Vegas show to come back after the pandemic shutdown.

Donny Osmond and Harrah’s announced an extension of his new solo residency show at Harrah’s Showroom halfway through his grand opening performance last week on September 9. New dates are now on sale through November 2022 and Osmond has performances slated on the Strip every month though that period except for December and July. The continuation of this dynamic new show comes as no surprise given the former success of the Donny & Marie residency at the Flamingo and his unique ability to connect with his loyal fans and followers in Las Vegas, but as he says, “You never really know what’s going to happen. When I got the call, I thought, oh my goodness, this is fantastic. I’m going to be in show business for another year,” Osmond joked on the phone with me the day after the announcement. “I’ve been doing this for a long time and you never know.” There’s a portion of the show where he recalls the time he opened and closed on Broadway in the same night, the ultimate illustration of the uncertainty of the industry. To listen to my complete conversation with Osmond, come on back to LasVegasSun.com next week to catch a new episode of the Sun on the Strip podcast.

If you’re looking for a little extra entertainment during the coming Mexican Independence Day weekend, visit the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian where local singer Eli Zamora (“The Voice”) will perform at St. Mark’s Square at 4 and 6 p.m. September 16-19. Also, during “Fantasy” at Luxor, headlining vocalist Lorena Peril will help audiences celebrate El Grito by singing “La Charreada” in the burlesque show September 16-18.

This week’s new Vegas concert announcements include: the Allman Family Revival, an 18-night U.S. tour created by Devon Allman as a tribute to the music of his father, Gregg Allman, will touch down at the Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas on December 17; Dua Lipa, who is in town this weekend for the iHeartRadio Music Festival, will bring her Future Nostalgia tour to T-Mobile Arena on March 25; and J Balvin, another superstar back for more Vegas in the coming days at Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World, will bring his Jose Tour 2022 to Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay on April 23.

Naked Boys Singing” opens in Las Vegas on September 21 at the Jewel Box Theatre at the Erotic Heritage Museum just west of the Strip. The off-Broadway hit is set for an 11-week run featuring David Hernandez (“American Idol”) and Chris Salvatore (“Eating Out”) fronting a cast of five singers and dancers without clothes under the direction of Tom and Michael D’Angora. Performances are set for Wednesday at 9 p.m. and Thursday through Sunday at 10 p.m. and tickets, starting at $75, are available at nakedboyssingingvegas.com.

Sammy Hagar, who is getting ready to launch his Las Vegas Strip residency at the Strat next month, will perform on the Beer Park rooftop at Paris Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. September 22 to commemorate the launch of his new Sammy’s Beach Bar Cocktail Co., a canned, ready-to-drink sparkling rum beverage debuting this month in several states. Fifty pairs of free tickets to the show have been available at redrocker.com this week and there might be a few left as registration is still available through midnight tonight, September 16.

Little Miss Nasty,” a rock-and-roll burlesque show that formerly performed at the 172 live music space at the Rio, will come back to life downtown at Backstage Bar & Billiards on November 12. Tickets are $15 for the 21-and-over show and available at smashmagazine.com.

Before that, a new burlesque experience will open at Area15. “Rated Red” is set to debut October 8 and continue every Friday night at 9 p.m. at the Portal, the experiential venue’s 360-degree projection-mapped room. Choreographed by Jawkeen Howard and Starley Ann Carrington, the show is based on dance but includes acrobatics, pole performances and showgirl-style elements and includes live and recorded music. Ticket information can be found at area15.com.

And looking forward to the holidays, the Backstreet Boys’ Christmas-themed engagement at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood, set to launch in mid-November and continue with December dates, has been canceled for 2021 with the possibility of reinstating shows for the season in 2022. But on the positive side, “This Is Christmas,” an original holiday production that wasn’t able to take off last year, is a go to launch November 26 at the Palazzo Theatre. This show is created and produced by Pat Caddick and features Broadway stars Diana DeGarmo and Randal Keith, dance duo Alejandro Domingo and Sarah Le Clear, “American Idol” alums Lou Gazzara and Ace Young, Vegas favorites Jaclyn McSpadden and Eric Jordan Young and more. Tickets start at $70 and they’re on sale now at venetianlasvegas.com, with performances running through December 26.
