Shadow Ridge quarterback Coen Coloma (#8) is tackled by Silverados Blake Relyea (#9) during a high school football game at Silverado Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

Sophomore quarterback Coen Coloma accounted for six touchdowns on Friday night in leading the host Shadow Ridge football team to a 70-27 victory against previously unbeaten Desert Oasis.

“Any time you can beat an undefeated team by more than 35 points, it’s a good week,” Shadow Ridge coach Travis Foster said.

The Mustangs amassed 650 yards on offense, including Coloma completing all six of the passes he attempted for 224 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed eight times for 75 yards and three scores.

Maddyx Valenzuela, Devon Woods and Jeremiah Campbell each had scoring receptions for Shadow Ridge. Jaquieze Holland carried the ball 15 times for 126 yards and two scores.

“We have to continue to improve and eliminate the mistakes,” Foster said. “We didn’t have too many of those tonight.”
