China is bullying Taiwan and perhaps thinking about more. Our allies are so vociferous when they believe we cross the line in international politics, but so quiet regarding China’s irrational provocations.
China steals Western intellectual property, manipulates economic markets to its advantage, claims international waterways and islands as its own, and expands its anti-West influence without any response.
How loud would the clamor be if we were to threaten to leave NATO or the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO), or any other alliances outside of our hemisphere?
I am not saying we should quit any alliances, but it does make one wonder whether our allies are just fair-weather friends.
