UNLV Rebels forward Victor Iwuakor (0) fouls San Diego State Aztecs guard Matt Bradley (3) during a NCAA basketball game at Thomas & Mack Center Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022. UNLV Rebels guard Keshon Gilbert (10) is at right.

UNLV’s return game at San Diego State has a new date, as the Mountain West announced the rescheduled contest will now be played Jan. 24.

The game was originally supposed to be on Tuesday but was postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak in the SDSU program. That was one of three UNLV basketball games that have been postponed this season, along with a Jan. 5 contest at San Jose State and a Jan. 8 game at Air Force. All three have now been rescheduled.

There are 15 games remaining in the 2021-22 regular season. UNLV is currently 9-7 overall and 1-2 in the Mountain West. Kevin Kruger’s squad lost the first meeting with San Diego State, 62-55, on Jan. 1.

UNLV will make up its other two games this week, traveling to San Jose State on Monday and then going to Air Force on Thursday.
