A motorcyclist was killed today in a crash in the west valley, according to Metro Police.
At about 12:20 p.m., a Tesla Model 3 was driving westbound in the left-turn lane on Garden Mist Drive, making a turn onto Town Center Drive. Meanwhile, a 2020 Yamaha MTN 850 motorcycle was traveling northbound on Town Center. The collision occurred when the motorcycle struck the left side of the Tesla.
The motorcyclist, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Tesla claimed minor injuries, and impairment was not suspected.
Town Center Drive will be closed in the area until a preliminary investigation is completed, police said.
No additional details were released.
