An 18-year-old woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash caused by another vehicle driving the wrong way on U.S. Route 95 south that led to charges for the other driver, according to Nevada State Police.

Taylor Madison was driving a sedan southbound on U.S. 95 south of Henderson about 12:30 a.m. Monday, when she veered into the northbound lanes and the front of her car struck the front of a sedan driven by Katarina Johnson.

Johnson’s car rotated clockwise, entering the east paved shoulder. Madison’s car came to rest in the travel lanes, facing southeast.

Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Madison was transported to the Siena campus of St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson for injuries sustained in the crash and was later booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of driving under the influence resulting in death, according to state police.
