Primm deals for parents, CityCenter’s beer for a nickel

Local parents, rejoice. There’s something to occupy your kids this month as summer boredom creeps up.

Primm Valley Resorts is giving locals free unlimited attraction passes during weekdays in June. All you have to do is show a local ID.

And if you feel like making the trek to Primm more than just a day trip, book a room at Buffalo Bill’s during any weekday in June and receive two free attraction passes.

The pass is good for the Desperado, the Turbo Drop, Adventure Canyon Log Flume, the Vault 3-D Experience, the Maxflight Cyber Coaster and the Frog Hopper.

The offer is good Monday through Thursday from now to June 30.

One beer, five pennies?

Remember when beer cost a nickel? That was last Tuesday. And the Tuesday before. It’s also tonight, and it will be next Tuesday, too.

Every Tuesday, Todd English P.U.B in Crystals at CityCenter extends goodwill toward locals in the form of Nickel Beer Night, the 9 p.m.-midnight reverse happy hour where cold pints of PBR go for as little as they did when your grandpa was drinking it. (Which he might have, since the beer’s been around since 1882.)

Launched a few weeks ago, the weekly event already has been a big hit among nickel-pinching locals or anyone looking to put their change jars to good use. And don’t forget: Just because you can buy 20 beers for $1 doesn’t mean you should tip your bartender in pennies.
