Metro Police looking for murder suspect, car found

Police still haven't found the man they believe murdered a woman found dead in a car on Wednesday. But they have found his car.

Although Metro Police are still searching for 32-year-old Jesus Roberto Munguia of Las Vegas, suspected in the death of a woman on Wednesday, police recovered the white 1990s Honda Civic he had been driving today about 1 a.m.

Officers found the car at Stocker and Tonopah avenues.

Police discovered the body of a 29-year-old woman dead inside an SUV parked outside a residence in the 6700 block of Mangrum Circle, near Tropicana Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard. The Clark County Coroner's Office still has not identified the woman, whom police say appears to have been killed by blows to the head.

Police learned that the victim and Munguia were last seen leaving a home on the street about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

Family members did not see the woman again until her body was found about 12:08 p.m. Wednesday.

Metro detectives say the motive for this murder appears to be a domestic dispute between the woman and Munguia, who is considered dangerous by police.
