A 61-year-old man, John Welton Porter of Las Vegas, has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as one of two people found dead in an apartment on Desert Inn Road.
The cause of death has not been determined, a spokeswoman in the coroner's office said.
Metro Police are investigating the deaths of Porter and a woman, still unidentified, whose bodies were found about 2 p.m. Monday at the Country Club Shadows apartment complex, 350 E. Paradise Road.
Officers checked the apartment after a man called, concerned because Porter had missed work for three weeks, police said.
Police looked through a window and discovered a body on the bathroom floor, Lt. Lew Roberts said.
Police have not determined the relationship between the man and the woman.
