More VIPs make NYE in Vegas plans

New Years Eve may be four weeks away but more and more celebrities are planning trips to Sin City as the biggest party night of the year approaches.

Two more big names – Stacy Fergusson (a.k.a. Black Eyed Peas songstress, Fergie) and Carmen Electra – were added to the seemingly ever-growing list of VIPs who will be in town for New Year's Eve.

News of Fergusson and Electra’s NYE appearances come just a day after Usher was confirmed as the host for the Bank’s NYE bash, and two days after it was announced that New Kids on the Block members Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood would ring in 2009 at Jet.

Fergussion will serve as “mistress of ceremonies” for Lavo’s inaugural New Year’s Eve celebration following a performance at the Venetian Ballroom. (Tickets for that show range from $75 to $200 and are available at the Venetian box office.)

Passes for the after-show NYE party at Lavo, which will feature an open bar and passed hors d’œuvres, are $250. Included in the ticket price is the ceremonial champagne toast at midnight.

A limited number of discount-priced tickets are also available for advance purchase, for $200.

Tickets to Lavo’s party will double as passes for Tao’s NYE party after midnight, so if partiers get Fergied out they will have the option of heading over to the Venetian to party the night away with Electra – if revelers can get through what’s sure to be a massive line-up to get inside, that is.

Electra’s party will feature complimentary hor d’œuvres and an open bar from 9 until 11 p.m. Tickets to that party are relatively bargain-priced when compared to Lavo: general admission passes start at $150.

If bargain shopping for NYE isn’t you thing, however, those with deep pockets can take their NYE partying to the extreme and ring in the new year at Lavo in iconic excessive Vegas, recession-be-damned, style. For a mere $25,000 the club will arrange for a 25-person table in prime fireworks-viewing territory on their Strip-side hookah terrace. Food and “top shelf champagne and libations” are also included in the $1,000-a-head party package.
