The Raconteurs, led by White Stripes frontman Jack White, are rumored to be among the bands at this year's Coachella music festival right outside Palm Springs, Calif., in April.
Other expected performers include The Verve (which apparently would reunite for the festival), - Jack Johnson, My Morning Jacket and Rilo Kiley, reportsthe Los Angeles Times..
But who would headline the show? It probably wouldn't be The Raconteurs, a popular yet niche band. Last year, Bjork, the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Rage Against the Machine all anchored evening performances at the main stage. It was Rage's first concert in years -- and it was explosively bombastic.
Other past headliners include Oasis and Coldplay.
Could Radiohead, which just released album "In Rainbows," be this year's headliner at the Indio fairgrounds?
The formal announcement is scheduled for later today at a press conference in Mexico City.
