Epicurean Affair offers a taste of Las Vegas eateries

Imagine you could eat at Bradley Ogden for $1. Or Rao's for $1. Or Cathouse, Valentino, TAO, or Emeril's Fish House – all for one measly buck apiece.

OK, stop imagining (and drooling) and get ready for the 19th annual Epicurean Affair.

The first major culinary event of the year takes place tonight and offers discerning diners some serious value.

More than 100 establishments — including Bradley Ogden, Rao's, Cathouse, Valentino, TAO and Emeril's – are taking part in this year’s island-themed event.

While dinner at just one of these eateries could easily set you back $100, the same price will get you inside and eating at more than 100 restaurants all at once.

Sure, $100 might seem like a lot – heck, it is a lot – but foodies can reconcile the ticket price by doing a little math: 100 of the city’s top tables divided by $100 equals $1 a pop. Bargain!

In that light, tonight’s event at the Flamingo just might be the city’s hottest dollar menu.

And we’re not talking greasy burgers and fries.

Las Vegas is, after all, one of the culinary capitals of the world. As such, much of tonight’s food comes from the cutting edge of cuisine, prepared by the country’s top chefs using the latest techniques.

Tickets are available through the Flamingo box office (702-733-3333) and Vegas.com.
