Hold onto your acupuncture needles and age-defying moisturizers, diva extraordinaire and Las Vegas headliner Cher is turning 63 Wednesday.

Of course, you’d never know it to look at her. The enduring star has a face as smooth as Suri Cruise’s and a body that women 20 years her junior would kill for or, at least, crunch, squat and sprint for.

Born Cherilyn Sarkisian, Cher’s career resembles an entertainment industry Ironman. Over the last 46 years, she’s dominated the Billboard charts both as a solo artist and the sexier half of pop duo Sonny and Cher, achieved television stardom and held lead billing in a number of hit films. Along the way she’s picked up souvenirs like an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy and three Golden Globes. Not too shabby, eh?

It only makes sense then, that the woman known for her brassy voice and over-the-top outfits would spend her birthday doing what’s she’s done for nearly 50 years – performing. The diva will go to work at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace tomorrow, performing her eponymous show at the casino where she first performed 30 years ago this June.

Fitting 63 candles on her birthday cake may be tough even for Caesars’ talented pastry chefs, but give her one feathered, sparkling Bob Mackie-designed candle, and we’re guessing that will suit Cher just fine.
