The latest Indiana Jones movie, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," has an opening in 1957 that takes the aging Jones to the atomic testing area northwest of Las Vegas. The ensuing blast — and the hero's escape — rekindles the memories of how mushroom clouds were a tourist attraction for Las Vegas some 50 years ago, writes Gary A. Warner of the Orange County Register. Warmer writes how the Atomic Testing Museum, located at 755 E. Flamingo Road, is a good place to go for learning more about the big blasts from the past.
