NJ senator fights for legalized sports betting

(via cnnmoney.com) · May 19, 2008 · 7:06 PM

New Jersey senator Raymond Lesniak vowed Monday to fight a federal law which limits legalized sports gambling. Sen. Lesniak requested that Gov. Jon S. Corzine file a lawsuit claiming the federal law violates interstate commerce laws. Sports gambling is only available in Nevada, Delaware, Montana and Oregon, though only Nevada actually utilizes it. Lesniak is trying to bring professional sports betting to Atlantic City.
