After Angle win, NY Times moves race from leaning GOP to tossup

The latest ranking of House, Senate and governor’s contests by The New York Times finds that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s race in Nevada is now a Tossup.

Reid’s seat had been ranked as Leaning Republican by the Times. The change was made after the Nevada primary on Tuesday, where Republicans nominated Sharron Angle, whose candidacy was backed by Tea Party activists. Reid remains among the most vulnerable Democrats, but the new ranking reflects a slightly more visible path to victory, the Times said.
