This week, Monday By the Numbers has action in Australia and Rio. Human Nature is back at Sands Showroom in the Venetian, having just finished a tour of their homeland, which happens to be Down Under.

Meantime, Rock in Rio USA is taking a breather between its Rock and Pop weekends.

It’s time for the numbers. As they once said during the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day telethon, “Show us the tote board!”

Or words to that effect:

7: Cities in which Human Nature performed while on tour.

13: Total shows they performed.

22,000: Tickets sold on that tour.

100: Percentage of tickets sold to Human Nature’s shows.

91,524: The total miles the four members of the group have traveled since leaving Las Vegas on April 13. (That’s 22,881 times four.)

3 million: Albums the group has sold worldwide.

8: Costume changes in the touring version of the show.

1: Step stool used as a prop for Mike Tierney (so he can step atop and be as tall as the others, you see).

500: Restrooms at the Rock in Rio USA venue.

77,500: Total square feet taken up by the venue’s VIP fortress.

47,839: Square yards of artificial turf used in the venue.

$32.43: Cost (including tax) of an official Rock in Rio USA T-shirt.

$57.29: Amount left on my official Rock in Rio USA RFID wristband.

$40: Charge for parking at SLS Las Vegas across the street from the venue.

$100: Room rates on Friday, the day Rock in Rio USA opened, at SLS.

$100: The price one fan paid for a wristband Saturday night from a person standing in that garage (a $70 savings).

$50: Parking fee at the old Crazy Horse Too property on Industrial Road, kitty-corner from the venue, a fee that included admission and a first-drink-free coupon to Hustler, Little Darlings and Déjà Vu gentlemen’s clubs.

29: Bruno Mars’ age today.

5: Mars’ age when he played the role of “Little Elvis” in the movie “Honeymoon in Vegas.”

1989: The year in which Taylor Swift was born, and the title of her latest album.

9 million: Copies that album has sold since its October release.
