In keeping with its tradition of throwing a wide net over its music programming, Life Is Beautiful has announced its lineup of acts for this fall’s festival.

The names are familiar to anyone who has traversed this column’s footprint over the past few weeks: Stevie Wonder, Duran Duran, and Imagine Dragons are all booked to play, confirming earlier reports, as is hip-hop star Kendrick Lamar.

More than 70 acts of varying genres and achievement are to perform at the event, which returns to downtown Las Vegas from Sept. 25-27 for its third year.

Wonder might be the most prominent artist to ever play the festival, with more than 100 million singles and albums in a career spanning 55 years. His 25 Grammy Awards are the most ever for a male solo artist.

Wonder has headlined Las Vegas of late. He played a sold-out show at MGM Grand Garden Arena in November as part of a world tour during which he performed “Songs in the Key of Life” in its entirety.

Imagine Dragons is a return act to LIB, having played the inaugural show in 2013, the band’s most recent ticketed performance. They most recently played an invite-only show at Vinyl at the Hard Rock Hotel in February and were featured in a performance of the single “Shots” at 6th and Fremont streets for a live Target commercial during this year’s Grammy Awards telecast, also in February.

A video and hit-making sensation throughout the 1980s (the band performed at “Live Aid” in 1985, among it many major live appearances), Duran Duran was last onstage in Las Vegas at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel in September 2011.

Life Is Beautiful once more is drawing in multiple stages, four in all, to showcase its music lineup. Still to be announced are details for its learning, culinary and art programs. Tickets are $235 in advance for general admission; $595 for a three-day pass. Tickets and the full lineup are at LifeIsBeautiful.com.
