Miss Jackson is following Mr. Strait to Las Vegas Arena.

Announced today is Las Vegas Arena will be the venue for Jackson’s 2016 “Unbreakable World Tour” stop on May 14. Citing vocal concerns, Jackson called off her dates at Axis at Planet Hollywood this past Friday and Saturday.

Tickets are $57.50, $77.50, $97.50, $155 and $197.50 (fees not included). They go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday at ArenaLasVegas.com and AXS.com. To charge by phone with a major credit card, call AXS at (888) 929-7849.

The pre-sale for previous ticket purchasers for the called-off Axis dates begins 10 a.m. Wednesday, to be followed by a pre-sale for Live Nation and M Life members (MGM Resorts International’s loyalty program) beginning 10 a.m. Thursday.

After Jackson’s cancellation of her two shows at Planet Hollywood, the arena for her return to Las Vegas was listed as “MGM Arena.” That led to speculation that Jackson would be headed for the under-construction, 20,000-capacity Las Vegas Arena.

Jackson is a bona-fide superstar, having sold 160 million records worldwide. Hers follows the announcement of country superstar George Strait as the first act to be made public at the arena, as he performs a half-dozen shows in 2016: April 22-23, Sept. 9-10 and Dec. 2-3.
