Guns N’ Roses is launching a reunion tour with a couple of Strip shows.

The dates for the band’s reported appearances at T-Mobile Arena have been announced: April 8-9, or the first weekend of business at the new MGM Resorts-AEG Live arena north of New York-New York and south of Monte Carlo.

The arena opens with The Killers, Wayne Newton and EDM artist Shamir on April 6.

Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan are reuniting for at least four shows in what is expected to be an extensive U.S., or even world, tour. On April 16 and 23, the band headlines the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif.

The Las Vegas shows will mark the first concerts by those core members of GNR since a show in Buenos Aires in July 1993. Since, Rose has appeared with a new GNR lineup for two residencies at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel.

Tickets to the general public are on sale at AXS.com beginning 10 a.m. Saturday; prices start at $79.50 (fees not included). Citi credit-card holders have access to presale tickets at 10 a.m. Wednesday at CitiPrivatePass.com.

Predictably, officials with the venue are thrilled that GNR is re-forming at T-Mobile.

“What an honor to work with the biggest name in rock n’ roll as part of the opening celebration of T-Mobile Arena,” said Bobby Reynolds, vice president of booking, AEG Live, today in a news release.

“Guns N’ Roses choosing to return to the stage in their full glory, on the Las Vegas Strip to open T-Mobile Arena, is rock n’ roll history. This is going to be an awesome event and not to be missed.”

“What better city than Las Vegas — the Entertainment Capital of the World — to see Guns N’ Roses play together for the first time in 23 years?” said Dan Quinn, general manager of T-Mobile Arena, in that same news release.

“T-Mobile Arena was designed to host iconic events such as this, and we will provide guests with an incredible experience as they enjoy this historic show.”
