Nearly 6,000 Clark County voters went to the polls on the Memorial Day holiday, a surprising spike and the highest total for any day yet in the 10 days of early voting, bringing the total to 7 percent of registered southern voters. The totals in Washoe County were not up, though, with the combined Sunday/Monday totals less than Saturday's.
The numbers for Clark, including mail ballot, which have remained static for two days since none were counted over the weekend:
Republicans: 28,263 total, or 12.2 percent
Democrats: 26,673, or 8.4 percent
Washoe totals (early voting, no mail data available):
Democrats: 5,783, or 6.8 percent
Republicans: 8,169, or 9.7 percent
