Eldorado High product DaVell Jackson, a junior point guard at Oklahoma City University, was tabbed as a honorable-mention player in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Jackson has given out 128 assists, fourth-best in the league, and he averages 9.6 points, 4.6 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.77 steals.
He paced the NAIA school with 10 assists in its season-opening victory, and he hit that figure in another game. Twice, he gave out 9 assists, and he also had an 8-assist game.
He collected five steals in one game and had a team-best 19 points in another for the 15-15 Stars, who open the SAC tournament Tuesday against Lubbock Christian in Lubbock, Texas.
Jackson started 28 of 30 games, and he’s one of three Stars that averages more than 32 minutes a game.
