Vegas Play of the Day: Chicago White Sox at Seattle Mariners

The Play of the Day suffered a heartbreaking extra-inning loss on Saturday.

That won’t dissuade the contest, which uses odds from the South Point and $10,000 starting bankrolls, from going back to baseball for another day.

Chicago White Sox plus-140 at Seattle Seahawks: $200 to win $280

White Sox starter John Danks is having a rough year, but opponent Erasmo Ramirez isn’t even a big leaguer. The Mariners recalled Ramirez to give ace Felix Hernandez an extra day of rest.

That doesn’t sound like someone who merits this high of a line. Seattle is the better team, but the series has been fairly even this season.

Each team has won three games apiece with Sunday’s matinee the final meeting of the year. The White Sox beat the Mariners 2-1 Saturday despite several missed opportunities that prevented them from winning without a 10th inning.

The victory snapped a four-game losing streak, and hopefully put the White Sox back on the positive track they were on after the All-Star Break. Ramirez should serve up some help to ensure that’s the case.

Standings: Bern (42-30-1, $13,724), Keefer (33-37, $9,192), Brewer (29-41-3, $2,350)
