Vegas Play of the Day: Gonzaga at San Diego

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Gonzaga minus-10.5 at San Diego: $330 to win $300

Gonzaga already cleared its biggest hurdle in West Coast Conference play, going to BYU and winning by seven. The concern if you’re backing the Zags today, as I am, is a letdown because of that, but if they’re even close to dialed in they should be able to win by about 12-15.

Gonzaga is the second most efficient offense in the country, according to Kenpom.com, while San Diego’s defense is in the fringe of the top 100. As long as Gonzaga comes ready to play, they’ll cover comfortably.
