Vegas Play of the Day: Indiana at Nebraska

MWC Tournament - Colorado State v. TCU

Sam Morris / Las Vegas Sun

Colorado State head coach Tim Miles directs his team against TCU during their Mountain West Conference Tournament game Thursday, March 8, 2012. Colorado State won 81-60.

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point.

Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Indiana plus-1 at Nebraska: $440 to win $400 Nebraska has been solid on its home floor of late, beating Ohio State and Minnesota in its past two home games. Make no doubt about it, Nebraska is one of the Big Ten Conference’s most improved teams and a program on the rise with former Colorado State coach Tim Miles working his magic. I just don’t see Nebraska matching the physical style of play of Indiana. Indiana is fourth nationally in rebounding; Nebraska is 237th. Indiana is 68th in scoring; Nebraska is 244th — mostly because of poor backcourt play. Nebraska averages about 10 assists per game, which ranks 325th nationally. Forget about Nebraska’s recent success. Indiana is the more-talented team and coach Tom Crean will have them ready to perform.

Standings: Brewer (3-3-1, $9,970), Bern (3-4, $9,290), Keefer (2-7, $8,017.50)
