Vegas Play of the Day: Cleveland Cavaliers at Chicago Bulls

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Cleveland Cavaliers moneyline (plus-145) at Chicago Bulls: $300 to win $435

This is pure-chaos theory. On Wednesday, the Bulls went on the road and by 24 points hammered the New York Knicks, who then went to Cleveland and defeated the Cavaliers as 13½-point underdogs. So it would be perfect for those same Cavaliers to travel to Chicago and get a win.

Weird results are the norm early in the NBA, and while I think it’s far more likely that LeBron James, Kevin Love and Co. need more time to get on the same page, it wouldn’t be that crazy for them to go into the United Center and win. I’ll take a shot.
