Vegas Play of the Day: Golden State Warriors at New Orleans Pelicans

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

New Orleans Pelicans plus-5 vs. Golden State Warriors: $330 to win $300

The Warriors are well on their way to a series victory with a 2-0 lead heading to New Orleans. And while I think they’ll extend that to 3-0 tonight, I’m going with the Pelicans to keep this within five.

In its last eight games, Golden State is 1-7 ATS and despite their 5-1 record against New Orleans this season, the Warriors are only 2-4 ATS in those games. They’re clearly the better team, but that doesn’t mean they’re always able to blow out the opponent.
