Ohio State has pulled off two straight upsets to reach the final game in the inaugural college football playoff.

Oregon is a 7-point favorite over Ohio State in the championship Jan. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The Ducks covered and won in their ninth straight game earlier today at the Rose Bowl, knocking off Florida State 59-20 as 7.5-point favorites. They haven’t had a remotely close point-spread decision since getting upset by Arizona 31-24 as 21.5-point favorites in October.

Ohio State has enjoyed more modest success in sports books, going 9-5 against the spread as opposed to Oregon’s 10-4. But the Buckeyes have won all five games outright where they came in as an underdog under coach Urban Meyer dating back three years.
