Vegas Play of the Day: New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels over-8 runs at minus-115: $402 to win $350

It’ll cost you a little extra to chase the over today in Los Angeles, and it’s with good reason. Angels starter C.J. Wilson couldn’t make it out of the fourth inning in his last start and he’s just as likely to blow up as turn in a solid outing.

Then there’s the Yankees’ CC Sabathia, who has allowed at least three earned runs in 11 of his 15 starts and has some of the shortest outings of any regular starter. If these two are even close to their last performances, then this should sail over the total.
