Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Minnesota Twins minus-105 vs. Oakland A’s : $520 to win $500 Minnesota is one of the hottest teams in baseball, entering tonight’s game with a five-game winning streak. At home, the Twins have an impressive 10-4 record.

Oakland, after a hot start to the season, has struggled of late in going 3-7 in its last 10 games.

Oakland starter Jesse Chavez began the season coming out of the A’s bullpen and hasn’t built up the endurance to pitch deep into games. In his most recent start, Chavez surrendered seven hits and four runs in just five innings. That puts the game in the hands of the Oakland bullpen, which is one of the worst in baseball and has allowed two or more runs in 12 of 18 appearance this season.
