Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots under 51 points: $440 to win $400
The NFL is back, and by that I mean the actual football part. With the plethora of ways this league keeps headlines churning — mostly for something awful — throughout the offseason, it never really leaves the public consciousness.
But now we at least have games to go along with those storylines, and that’s something, right?
The season kicks off with the Steelers against the Tom Brady-led Patriots. This game made all kinds of number shifts throughout the offseason because of Brady’s four-game suspension and then the lifting of it, so if you took New England at anything from minus-1 to minus-3, there’s not a great middle with Pittsburgh plus-7.
I didn’t do that and I’m having a hard time talking myself out of Brady going back to his 2008 mode, but until I see that, I’d rather stick with a play on tonight’s total. I’m convinced tonight’s game is going to finish at somewhere around 28-20. As long as there isn’t an extra field goal thrown in there, I’m set.
