Kansas City Royals at Houston Astros, Total Over 8: $440 to win $400: Kansas city starter Ian Kennedy impressed last week in his Royals debut by pitching seven scoreless innings. But Kennedy has had an earned run average over 4.00 in three of the past four seasons, and is always a candidate to surrender runs.
The strong outing to open the season came against light-hitting Minnesota, and cold game conditions helped keep the baseball from traveling. Tonight’s game will be indoors at Houston. And the Astros have one of baseball’s best lineups.
Houston will start Doug Fister, who was so awful last season in Washington that he was removed from the starting rotation.
