Vegas Play of the Day: Steelers at Browns

Pittsburgh Steelers minus-10.5 at Cleveland Browns: $550 to win $500: Pittsburgh, despite still be listed at 12-to-1 odds to win the Super Bowl, needs a win today at Cleveland (and some help from Buffalo) to reach the playoffs. As those Super Bowl odds indicate, Pittsburgh has one of the best teams in the NFL. If it makes the tournament, it could be the last team standing.

That’s why laying double digit points, usually an unattractive bet, is a good play today with the Steelers. Pittsburgh will look to quickly put away a Cleveland squad simply playing out the season. Cleveland coach Mike Pettine reportedly will be fired after the game, and the Browns will be starting their third-string quarterback.

Pittsburgh beat Cleveland 30-9 earlier in the season and will continue the dominance against its AFC North rivals. Cleveland is one of the lowest scoring teams in football with 266 points in 15 games. It has surrendered more than 400 points. The Steelers will add to the Browns’ awful season.
