We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have re-started with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Louisville minus-7 vs. Pittsburgh: $440 to win $400

A few weeks ago, Louisville would have given double digits to Pittsburgh at the KFC Yum! Center. Even this past weekend, I have a hard time believing the Cardinals would have been anything less than a 9-point favorite against the Panthers.

But Louisville is struggling, having lost two of its last three, including four straight noncovers, forcing oddsmakers to scramble by readjusting its ratings.

They went too far. Now is the time to buy low.

Louisville is good enough to win the ACC. The Cardinals play stifling defense, and senior Damion Lee is one of the most efficient scorers in the nation.

Pittsburgh is one of the more surprising teams in the nation at 14-1 straight-up, but its strength of schedule leaves much to be desired. The only time the Panthers played a team remotely as strong as the Cardinals, they lost 72-59 at home to Purdue.

This is only Pittsburgh’s second true road game of the year. Louisville should have no problem covering the number.
