The Angels have won six straight, and starting pitcher Matt Shoemaker is looking to build on the 13-striekout, complete game shutout he tossed last week against the Chicago White Sox.
Shoemaker is unlikely to match that kind of production again tonight but he shouldn’t have to with the way the Angels are swinging the bats. Excluding Shoemaker’s 1-0 victory, the Angels have averaged 7.8 runs per game. If Los Angeles can get a couple of early runs I feel good about the Angels running this streak to seven straight.
