St. Louis Blues plus-108 at Dallas Stars: $475 to win $513
Yesterday, I successfully took an evenly matched NHL road team that was looking to even their second-round series at one game apiece. There’s no reason not to do it again.
The Blues are just as good, if not better, than the Stars despite a 2-1 loss in game 1. St. Louis wasn’t at its best, which was predictable coming off an emotional game 7 victory over Chicago in round 1.
Even with the loss, the Blues have still beaten the Stars in four of six meetings this season with a plus-2 goal differential. They’re a deeper and better defensive team, advantages that will play a role as the series stretches on.
It’s always a bonus when South Point, the lines provider for this contest, is offering the best price in town on the chosen side. Elsewhere, the Blues are posted at odds as low as minus-105.
I’ll snag the value and root against the team on home ice for a second day in a row.
