Vegas Play of the Day: Red Sox at Blue Jays

We've reset the Play of the Day with fresh bankrolls and turned it into a yearly competition. Our three sports writers have re-started with $10,000 bankrolls to continue using on odds from the South Point.

Boston Red Sox minus-135 at Toronto Blue Jays: $540 to win $400: Toronto starter R.A. Dickey has surrendered four home runs in his last 12 innings pitched, elevating his earned run average to 4.60. Boston leads baseball in runs scored, batting average and slugging percentage, meaning they should strike early and often against Dickey.

After a rough start to the season, Boston starter David Price has settled down to win his last three outings with a combined 23 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched. Price signed a seven-year, $217 million contract in the offseason and struggled initially getting comfortable with his new team. The problems appear to be a thing of the past and he should continue to live up to the hype of a seven-year, $217 million contract.

Even if he struggles, Boston’s offense should be on-point against Dickey to salvage a win.

Current Standings (as of July 1): Brewer (48-41-2, $10,875), Bern (33-40, $6,325), Keefer (49-59-2, $5,190)

Lifetime standings: 2014-15 Champion Bern (113-114-1), Keefer (132-142-4), Brewer (116-128-4)
