The fifth season of the annual Play of the Day betting competition between the Sun's sports staff is now under way, effective July 1.
Bankrolls start at $10,000 for each of the four participants, with the objective to increase it as much as possible over the next year. The minimum daily wager is $300, with a $200 penalty assessed for failing to place a bet on an assigned day.
Past winners are Case Keefer in 2017-2018, Ray Brewer in 2016-2017 and 2015-2016, and Taylor Bern in 2014-2015.
Warriors minus-7 vs. Clippers: $800 to win $727
Here come the Warriors.
They started the season 10-1 and have been a rather pedestrian (by their standards) 21-13 since. Now they've won six in a row and even more importantly, DeMarcus Cousins makes his team debut. The Warriors may be about to turn back into the WARRIORS we've seen over the last couple of years, and the Clippers are their unfortunate foe.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, is trending in the opposite direction. The Clippers have lost four in a row, including the last three at home. This is not a time you want to face the Warriors who are adding another superhero to their cast of Avengers, and seven points may be just the starting point.
