National Labor Leaders, Worker Advocates in Las Vegas Tuesday to Join President Obama’s Call for Immigration Reform
Leaders of major unions pledge massive, national push for immigration reform

On Tuesday, January 29, leaders of major national unions will stand with President Obama in calling for immigration reform now. Close to twenty leaders representing a broad array of America’s workforce -- autoworkers, public service workers, steelworkers, domestic workers, taxi drivers, day laborers, construction workers – will be in Las Vegas to pledge their support for the historic push for immigration reform, including a pathway to citizenship. They will say that immigration reform is a working family issue that matters to all working Americans, regardless of one’s citizenship status.

There will be a press availability with members of the delegation immediately following President Obama’s speech. There will also be a gathering of working families and community partners at the Culinary Hall in Las Vegas at 2pm. Press is invited to attend both.
