Las Vegas Tea Series Expands Classes and Locations

Published on Mon, Feb 11, 2013 (12:48 a.m.)

Las Vegas, NV—The Las Vegas Tea Series, launched in August 2012, is a collaboration of information based tea classes paired with formal tea tastings and hands on tea experiences. Founded by Naomi Rosen, of Joy’s Teaspoon, and Ashanti McGee, of Iron Kettle Teas, the LV Tea Series has seen an incredible response from our local valley tea drinkers and we are excited to announce a secondary class location as well as a number of brand new classes for the first half of 2013. “The tea series is an open forum where we try to make all levels of tea drinkers comfortable. Many of the tea drinkers that come out have great questions that keep us on our toes,” said Ashanti McGee. “The series allows us to research and refine what we already know-it's an exciting process!” Classes will take place at the Trifecta Gallery (in the Arts Factory) in Downtown, Grouchy John’s Coffee and Sweet Ruby Jane Confections; both on the Southeast side. Classes encompass differences in tea varieties, growing regions, tea history, environmental impact, brewing skills, tea pairings, painting with tea and much more. Class topics will entice the newest of tea drinkers and challenge the most seasoned. “We have been overwhelmed by the incredible support we’ve seen from local tea drinkers,” said Naomi Rosen, Owner of Joy’s Teaspoon. “It is so exciting to imagine what the tea landscape of Las Vegas will look like in the next few years. Tea is thriving in Vegas.” To be an active part of the tea community, sessions are offered on the following dates:
